DTI VI is 1st NGA in WV conferred with bronze award for PRIME HRM
The Civil Service Commission VI has
recommended the conferment of DTI VI of the PRIME HRM Bronze Award for meeting the
core competencies and practices of Human Resource Management (HRM) Level 2 Maturity.
PRIME-HRM which stands for Program
to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management aims
to elevate public sector HRM through levels of maturity indicators of the four
core HRM systems – (1) recruitment, selection, and placement; (2) learning and development;
(3) performance management; and, (4) rewards and recognition.
Level 2 Maturity indicates that the
agency has a “process-defined” HRM – it has sets of defined and documented
standard operating procedures, subject to improvement over time; it has goal
oriented decision making; and, has some automated system but little integration
of data.
On the other hand, “maturity”
relates to the degree of formality and the optimization of processes, from ad
hoc practices, and formally defined steps, to managed result metrics, and the
active optimization of processes.
“It is noteworthy to mention that
the Department of Trade and Industry Regional Office No. 6 is the first
national government agency in Western Visayas to reap the PRIME HRM Bronze
Award,” said CSC VI Regional Director Rodolfo B. Encajonado.
DTI VI OIC Regional Director
Rebecca M. Rascon said that the recognition is an indication that DTI VI is
compliant to the core competencies of HRM practices that elevates the standard
and quality of services availed by its clientele.
