20 Capiz MSMEs set to graduate from 2nd Mentor Me Program
The entrepreneurial revolution brought about by the Kapatid
Mentor Me (KMME) Program of DTI with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship
has taken its roots in all corners of the
country – from Abra to Basilan.
This program is a venue for micro entrepreneurs, especially
with those little or no formal background in the different functional areas of business
development, to equip themselves with necessary and relevant entrepreneurial
knowledge and skills towards business success.
On July 4, the second batch of 20 Capiz entrepreneurs is set
to graduate after the grueling 10-module sessions at the Lakehouse 3, San
Antonio Resort, Roxas City. Prior to the
graduation ceremony, these mentees will present their Business Improvement Plan
to a panel of experts composed of representatives from the business sector,
banking sector and DTI/PCE.
KMME underscores the importance of entrepreneurial mind
setting, building a product image or brand down to operations management, financial
management and legal aspects of the enterprise.
“As mentees, you are fortunate to be able to attend the
10-week sessions with ten topics that are essential to business success discussed
comprehensively by Kapatid mentors,” DTI
Capiz Provincial Director Ermelinda Pollentes told the mentees.
She also added that with the intensifying business
competition, there is a need to make a community of visionary, innovative and
resilient entrepreneurs here in the province of Capiz providing opportunities
for all, thereby achieving inclusivity. (DTI Capiz)
