The DTI Aklan Provincial Office, in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority – Aklan, conducted Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay, Skills Training in Souvenir Eco-Soap Making and Entrepreneurship Seminar at the Activity Center, City Mall Boracay, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan on May 19, 2018.

Desiree Segovia and Realisa Bornasal of Boracay Women Producers Cooperative shared their skills, knowledge and expertise in making souvenir eco-soaps the skills training activity. Aside from these, the participants also underwent orientation on entrepreneurship seminar conducted by DTI Aklan Negosyo Center Provincial Coordinator Stella Regalado Caldera.

The activity was facilitated by Malay Negosyo Center Counselors Eula Lia and Ryan Molina, Jeremiah Estrada of Negosyo Center Makato and Sylvia Bindolo Saron from the LGU Malay.

The skills training activity was only one of the series of activities conducted by the DTI to allay the challenges and concerns caused by the temporary closure of the island. (DTI Aklan/ Jeremiah Estrada)
