P20 increase in LPG in Guimaras stores - DTI

The DTI Guimaras Provincial Office has intensified its monitoring of retail stores selling liquid pertroleum gas (LPG) in the municipalities of San Lorenzo and Sibunag in the Province of Guimaras.

A P20.00 increase in prices of LPG was noted based on last month’s monitoring.

As of August 16, the prices of 11 kg Gasul LPG tank is:

1.      Cabano Trading          - Php950

2.      NG Variety                 - Php970

3.      JJ Vilches Store           - Php925

4.      DEX-C Store              - Php950

Retail stores covered by monitoring in San Lorenzo were JJ Vilches Hardware, Cabano Trading and NG Store; and, DEX-C Store in Sibunag, Guimaras. The supply of LPG in San Lorenzo and Sibunag comes from Iloilo Fairway Marketing - Jordan Branch.  Delivery is dependent upon the request of store owners.

The activity aims to ensure the safety and compliance of these stores selling LPG under the Philippine National Standards. The DTI Guimaras advise consumers to check the following when buying LPG tank:

1)       Name and address of manufacturer

2)       Brand Name (example: Gasul)

3)       Tare Weight (Weight without content)
