The Department of Trade and Industry VI has been conferred the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 Certification (Quality Management System) by the Certification International Philippines, Inc.

The certification was signed by its Chairman and President Renato V. Navarrete.

The ISO 9000 is a set of international standards on quality management and quality assurance designed to help organizations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product/ service.

The DTI VI has previously earned certification since 2011 for having a QMS assessed as conforming to the requirements of ISO 9001:2008. In 2015 the ISO has released a new Standard for Quality Management System, thus, superseding ISO 9001:2008

The new standard, “ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management Systems – Requirements” supports DTI VI’s commitment to deliver quality services to our clients and stakeholders, as such, DTI took on the challenge of transitioning from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015.

DTI VI Regional Director Rebecca M. Rascon said that the certification speaks of the DTI VI’s culture of continuous improvement and ongoing commitment for the “Serbisyong Higit pa sa Inaasahan.”
