SSFs in WV turn to face masks production

DTI-established shared service facilities (SSFs) in the region involved in garments and wearables production has engaged in the mass production of washable and re-usable face masks. 

These SSFs are located in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo and Negros Occidental.

Based on the production capacity, these nine SSFs could generate more or less 20,000 washable and re-usable face masks in a month, depending on the availability of the materials that shall be used for its production.

Earlier, the DTI Regional Office ordered some 10,000 pieces of face masks from the SSFs in Antique, Iloilo and Capiz which were distributed for use of employees, while the rest were donated to DOH and PNP frontliners.
