DTI Guimaras conducts motorcycle helmet monitoring

The DTI Guimaras Provincial Office conducted a monitoring of motorcycle helmets in business establishments in the municipalities of Jordan, Buenavista, San Lorenzo, Sibunag and Nueva Valencia.

It aims to ensure that only certified motorcycle helmets are available for sale to the public.

Nine motorcycle helmet stores were covered by monitoring - Solid Motorcycle, Du Ek Sam Inc, RUSI Motorcycle, SYM (Daan Hari Motor Corps.), Motorstar (MSS Cycle Trading), Kawasaki Motorcycle, Andoy’s Enterprises, MBM Motorcycle Parts, and GAB Motorcycle Parts.

Imported helmets monitored from these outlets have Imported Commodity Clearance (ICC) and those locally made have Products Standard (PS) stickers, which shows that they have passed the standards/criteria set by this office. (DTI Guimaras/ Melecia U. Pait)
