Anchored on the theme “Bagong Buhay Boracay,” the exhibit features products of MSMEs affected by the Boracay Island rehabilitation. The Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) 2018 results awarded Iloilo City first place as the most improved local government unit (LGU) for highly urbanized city (HUC) with Bacolod City ranked third. Mandaue City was in second place.

The DTI Guimaras Provincial Office Negosyo Centers in Buenavista and Nueva Valencia towns were able to facilitate and register 127 business names for the months of June 1 to August 20, 2018.  

The DTI Guimaras Provincial Office has intensified its monitoring of retail stores selling liquid pertroleum gas (LPG) in the municipalities of San Lorenzo and Sibunag in the Province of Guimaras.

The DTI Guimaras Provincial Office regularly conducts the monitoring on prices and supply of cement in the island province to ensure its availability in the market. Based on the monitoring conducted, cement prices remain stable for the past three months.

Members of Rural Improvement Club of Nueva Valencia, Guimaras attended a three- day Skills Training on Flour Making made from Root Crops on July 23 to 25, 2018. The activity engaged the 15 participants on flour making flour from sweet potato and cassava.

The DTI Guimaras Provincial Office has monitored stores and business establishments selling liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the municipalities of Jordan and Buenavista. The activity was done to ensure that the LPG available in the market contain the required markings set by Bureau of Product Standards (BPS).   

The DTI Guimaras Provincial officer recently launched its fourth Negosyo Center (NC) in the island-province in the Municipality of Jordan.
